Interlaken, Switzerland

Not heard of this location before? Well, it is known as the European sports capital thanks to the endless sporting activities you can do here. These include kayaking, sky diving, hang-gliding, rock climbing and so much more. All this is surrounded by the stunning landscapes of lakes and towering mountains.

A note from us: these activities require additional travel insurance. Most regular policies will not cover you for issues that are a result of these activities, such as injury, cancellation or equipment costs.

Lisbon, Portugal

This Portuguese city has an overwhelming charm and is absolutely stunning. View the city from one of the many rooftop’s restaurants and cafes or rack u your step count by wandering the endless streets. Whilst you are here, you must try Pasteis de Nata (custard tarts). Speaking of good food, Lisbon is full of it, plus it is extremely cheap! Double bonus!

Valencia, Spain

Often overshadowed by Barcelona and Madrid, Valencia is a beautiful destination to visit which has managed to retain its authenticity. Enjoy some tasty Paella in the city that it originates from and visits the sights, such as the Bullring of Valencia, a 19th century, still in use bullring.

Allianz Travel - heat5

Reykjavik, Iceland

Whilst many have Iceland on their bucket list for viewing the northern lights and winter landscapes, summer in Iceland (June, July, August) is an equally stunning time to visit.

Rather than 24 hours of darkness in the winter, you enjoy the exact opposite with what is called the midnight sun! The weather in the summer is usually around an average of 12 degrees Celsius and in the summer can reach some 10degrees warmer than the average. But the weather here can change dramatically, and quickly. Best pack those really big coats and warm socks!
