Pod Lipite Tavern is a rustic pub dating back to 1926 making it the oldest restaurant and bar in the city!
This pub was once a favourite haunt of many Bulgarian celebrities and figures, each visiting to try the traditional Bulgarian dishes.
If you want to try authentic, Bulgarian cuisine using traditional recipes and cooking methods, this is the place to come. Pod Lipite serves dishes of meat and dairy supplied from its very own farm. Not many places can make that claim!

Pickup souvenirs at the Bitaka Flea Markets
If you are looking to pick up some merchandise from your trip to Bulgaria to take home then you must visit the Bitaka Flea Market.
Here you will find everything from toys, jewelry, clothing and modern technology, to random, old trinkets. This market is diverse, eclectic and interesting!
You can visit the market every weekend from early in the morning and open till late afternoon.

The city of Sofia has some wonderful street art giving vibrant, splashes of colour to the city.
One thing you will notice right away are the brightly coloured electrical transformer boxes with all different designs on them; they really bring the city to colourful life! Each is decorated differently. Your Instagram account would look stunning with some of these photos!

Take a trip up Vitosha Mountain
Located on the outskirts of Sofia is the Vitosha Mountain.
